General Manager Vacancy – Tail O’ The Bank Credit Union

Starting salary of £32,000 (per annum) with generous benefits package including progressive pension scheme, substantial holiday entitlements, free parking and the opportunity for annual performance payments.

Full Time:- 35 hours per week
Location:- Greenock

Tail O’ The Bank Credit Union is a member-based, community financial co-operative serving an expanding membership within the Inverclyde area.

We are passionate in promoting the ethical values of the wider Credit Union movement and are committed to delivering the best service to our members in supporting their financial wellbeing.

In the next stage of our development we are seeking a General Manager to lead the Tail O’ The Bank Credit Union on an exciting and ambitious period of growth.

With responsibility for the day-to-day operations, the General Manager will lead, motivate and manage staff and volunteers to grow the business and develop new financial services to support local people.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership, business development and communications skills. They will also need knowledge of financial services and, in particular, savings and loans business within a highly-regulated environment.

The role reports directly to the Tail O’ The Bank Credit Union board of directors and offers the opportunity for autonomy, and scope for initiative and creativity, in shaping business growth and ensuring the excellent delivery of financial services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who has an effective range of skills in operations, finance, business development, staff management and IT.

Candidates must be able to qualify under the Senior Managers’ Regime and will require pre- approval from the Regulator.
