A YOUNG male was attacked by a number of youths in Port Glasgow.
Police said there was a large group behaving in an anti-social manner near Highholm Avenue at 8pm on Monday.
Officers are reviewing camera footage and are appealing to the public for any information, CCTV or dash-cam footage to help identify those responsible.
Chief Inspector Paul Cameron said: “This was a despicable incident and I’m astonished that some of our young people think it’s acceptable to conduct themselves in this manner.
“I am appealing to parents and carers to know where your children are going and what they are up to. This kind of behaviour won’t be tolerated and any young people involved will be held to account.”
