INVERCLYDE Council hopes to reopen several town centre toilet facilities this month.
Toilet provision has been affected by the latest pandemic lockdown.
An update issued to councillors states: “It is intended that the public conveniences at Shore Street, Gourock, Hunter Place and Kilblain Street [both Greenock] will reopen by 26 April.
“The latter two will continue to have the limited opening hours instituted in 2019 to combat anti-social behaviour ie closing at 5pm. Other toilets will be opening from 8am to 9pm.”
The report continues: “Officers are additionally taking steps to facilitate the reopening on a more sustained basis the Lunderston Bay and Greenock Cut Centre toilets.”
