POLICE called to a disturbance in Gourock allegedly found that one of the men involved had a knife.
Officers were called to Shore Street just after 11pm on Sunday.
Sergeant Jason Logsdon said: “A male was being aggressive to another male whereby officers observed this male to allegedly have a knife tucked into his waistband.”
A 23-year-old man was arrested an is scheduled to appear at court on a later date.
Area commander Chief Inspector Paul Cameron said: “The removal of offensive weapons makes Inverclyde safer. I have continually said that if you intend carrying such weapons you will be caught and arrested.”
