GOUROCK company Rebecchi Architectural is celebrating after being accredited as a Living Wage employer.

The Living Wage commitment will see everyone working at the firm receiving at least the minimum hourly wage of £9.50.

This is significantly higher than the government minimum for over 23s, which currently stands at £8.91 per hour.

Marco Rebecchi, director of Rebecchi Architectural said: “This is an important commitment that we are making, and we would encourage more businesses across the UK to sign up for this important pledge and investment.

“Being certified as a Living Wage accredited employer is something that all of our team believes strongly in and we will continue to champion the scheme in the coming months and years.

“We continue to grow our practice at Rebecchi Architectural and making this pledge will ensure our current and future employees will see and feel the benefits.”

Laura Gardiner, director, Living Wage Foundation, said: “We are delighted that Rebecchi Architectural has joined the movement of more than 7,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on.

“These businesses recognise that paying the real Living Wage is the mark of a responsible employer and they believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay.”
