COASTGUARDS were called to a ship aground on the Clyde
The incident at Erskine this morning involved cargo vessel Wilson Blyth.
Greenock Coastguard Rescue Team posted on its Facebook page: “We are aware of an incident in Erskine with a vessel that has run aground. We have personnel on scene.”
The ship was refloated and continued on its journey to Glasgow with Greenock tug CMS Wrestler.
The incident led to closure of the river and delayed the departure of paddle steamer Waverley on a cruise.
