THE largest cruise ship visiting Greenock this year is at the Ocean Terminal today (Sunday).
Celebrity Apex is one of two cruise ships coming to the Clyde on Sunday, the other being the 12,800-tonne expedition vessel Ocean Atlantic.
At 130,000 tonnes, Celebrity Apex is the biggest holiday vessel calling at Greenock in 2022.
The ship, which can carry around 3,000 passengers, entered service in 2020 and has not been to the Clyde before.
It features the “Magic Carpet” an orange platform on the starboard side of the ship that can move between the top and bottom decks.
Celebrity Apex arrived in the morning and is expected to leave around 7pm, although scheduled times frequently change at short notice.
