A FILM crew has turned the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock into a police base for a new TV series.

The venue at Custom House Quay will feature as a marine homicide unit in Annika which will be shown on UKTV’s crime drama channel Alibi.

Filming is underway this week with police signage put up on the building and fake police cars parked outside.

The six-part series is based on a successful BBC Radio 4 drama, written by Nick Walker, and will see Olivier award-winner Nicola Walker bring the leading character, Detective Inspector Annika Strandhed, to screen.
