NINETY people took part in the weekly five-kilometre Greenock parkrun time trial on Saturday including one who was celebrating her 100th completion of the Esplanade route.

Debbie McKenzie notched up the century milestone, having done 99 parkruns at Greenock and one at Blackpool.

Despite winds gusting more than 50 miles per hour, four people recorded personal best times — junior runner Aimee McEleny (7) with a time of 28:37; Alexander Donald, 29:35, Allan Rowan, 30:42 and Eric Lindsay, 30:48.

First over the finish line was John Stevenson — his first time in 125 parkruns.
