MSC Meraviglia will be the largest cruise ship to have visited the Clyde

NEARLY 30 cruise ships will visit Greenock this year, a total of nearly 60 times — with the record for the largest cruise ship to come to the Clyde due to be broken by MSC Meraviglia.

The massive 171,598-tonne ship can carry 5,000 passengers and is calling at the Ocean Terminal twice,  in May and August. MSC Meraviglia is 33,000 tonnes bigger than the current Clyde record-holder Queen Mary 2.
