GOLF — Whinhill Open Trophy Results
WHINHILL Golf Club recently held its Open Trophy competition, with home player Tommy O’Donnell returning an excellent nett score of 62 to claim victory.
He edged out Brian Hamil by a single shot.
The 132 golfers who assembled were treated to a course in great condition.
Third place went to John McCabe on 64, while Kevin McLaughlin and Myles Gallacher shared fourth place with scores of 65.
David Siddons of Gleddoch Golf Club won the best visitor award with a nett score of 68.
Paul McCarn claimed the best scratch prize thanks to a fine gross score of 69.
The competition was once again sponsored by Kilts 4 Less.
1st Place: Tommy O’Donnell 77 – 15 = 62
2nd Place: Brian Hamil 82 – 19 = 63
3rd Place: John McCabe 80 – 16 = 64
4th Place: Kevin McLaughlin 81 – 16 = 65 / Myles Gallacher 74 – 9 = 65
