THE Texas Scramble Gents’ Open was held recently at Whinhill Golf Club, Greenock.
The team of Darren Brown, Ryan Elder, Michael McGeechan and Craig Robertson (all members of the host club) returned a magnificent score of 49 to score the victory, their second in three years after winning in 2023.
Their score edged out the team of Thomas Francis, Thomas Francis Jr, Craig Wright and Michael Wright by a single shot.
There was an entry of 29 four-man teams in the competition, now in its 15th year, having been introduced in the club’s centenary year.
