GOLF — Results From Whinhill’s R&A Championship QualifierWHINHILL Golf Club hosted a two-man team, nine-hole competition as a club qualifier for the R&A Championship.
The winners out of 22 teams taking part were brothers Pat and Tommy O’ Donnell who will represent the club in the Scottish National Qualifier at Milnathort Golf Club in June.
The top four teams from that event move forward to the Grand Final at Royal St. George’s Golf Club at which Scottish qualifiers will compete against successful pairs from England, Ireland and Wales just days before the 149th Open Championship begins.
