GOLF — Hundreds Of Pounds Raised From Pink Flag Day At Gourock

THE annual Pink Flag Day was held at Gourock Golf Club in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness.

This is the final charity day of the year for the ladies’ section and has become one of the highlights of the calendar.

Thirty couples took part, most of whom were wearing pink, and for those that didn’t, a small fine was imposed.

More than £910 has been raised and the ladies are very grateful to all those members who took part on the day and for their generosity.

Congratulations go to the joint winners — Phil Harkins with Hilary Robertson, and John Church with Jean Rees.

There was a junior team for the first time — Craig Wallace and his partner Annie Donald were in third place.
