GOUROCK Golf Club’s gents’ section rounded off a busy and successful season with it annual prize-giving and presentation of awards.
The night was hosted by club captain Ian Macnaughton with members enjoying a meal prepared by catering partner Buckley’s followed by entertainment from after-dinner speaker Peter Brown.
Ninety-three prizes were presented culminating in Graham Aitken receiving his Seniors’ Championship prize followed by Steven Higgins being awarded the Darroch Medal as club champion. This was the sixth time that Steven has been crowned champion.
The club was also presented with trophies it had won during the year — the Muirshiel League, The Associated Clubs of Clyde ‘Wee’ Trophy and the Clyde Coast Seniors’ League championship.
The club thank match and handicap convener Gordon Crae and his hard-working team for organising all the fixtures and events and for making sure the prize-giving ran so smoothly.
