GOLF — Competition Update From Greenock Golf ClubGREENOCK Golf Club hosts its annual Pro’s Day event this Sunday (23 June).
The format is fourball, better ball Stableford (pairs, best Stableford points at each hole).
It is open to members and visitors with gents, ladies and mixed pairings welcome.
Entry is £20 per pair and there are prizes to be won. To book a tee time, call the club shop on 01475 791912 or contact the club Facebook page.
On Saturday, the Charity Salver was played for by 115 participants.
Alex Heywood won with a fantastic 81-17=64.
In addition to winning the trophy and slashing his handicap, Alex also managed a hole-in-one at the third.
