PLANNERS have agreed that derelict farm buildings at an Inverclyde beauty spot can be converted into two houses.
Inverclyde Council officials approved an application for redevelopment of the barns at Cornalees Farm, beside Loch Thom, in the countryside south of Greenock.

Each property will have two bedrooms.
Documents submitted with the planning application stated: “The barns forming the subject of our application are redundant and capable of re‐use with minimal alteration to their external fabric.
“The essential character of these buildings will be retained and enhanced by the proposal and the future of a characterful grouping of buildings forming an important historic element of the countryside will be safeguarded.
“The alternative to this proposal would likely see the buildings fall into serious and irrevocable disrepair.”
