14 April, 2022 | Local, Planning

CHANGES at a local car showroom have been approved by planners.

Pearson’s at Shore Road, Wemyss Bay have been given permission to build a valet shed and two wash bays at their east car showroom site.

A public parking area will be removed as part of the plan.

A report by Inverclyde Council officials states: “”It has been indicated that the proposed shed is to replace a previous rudimentary undercover washing facility sited under the canpy structure to the south, immediately adjacent the car showroom external wall.

“The proposed shed and the wash bays are for staff use only for new and used cars sold at the garage.

“It has also been indicated that the pay-and-display car park will cease to operate once the shed is constructed and the remaining area will be for garage customers and staff only.”

Access to the shed and wash bays is to be taken from the current pay-and-display car park access which will be widened.
