FURTHER Arrest Over Alleged Greenock Fire-raisingPOLICE have arrested and charged a 23-year-old man in connection with an alleged wilful fire-raising in Greenock last year.
The blaze happened at a property on Cumberland Road, Larkfield on Saturday 19 September.
The man is due to appear in Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday 7 June, and a report will be sent to prosecutors.
Detective Superintendent Gerry McBride said: “This is the fifth arrest-and-charge in connection with the incident at Cumberland Road and another significant development in our investigations into a number of fire-raisings in the area.
“Enquiries remain ongoing and I would continue to urge anyone with information to contact police.”
