PLANS to improve a Greenock East End community facility have been dealt a funding blow.
Inverclyde Council submitted a bid to the government’s regeneration capital grant fund to extend Auchmountain Hall, Burnhead Street, and build a play area at the back of the site.
But officials state in an update for councillors that the project was not selected for the 2026/27 funding cycle.
Their report explains: “Unfortunately, although we received positive feedback on the application, it was not successful in progressing to stage two of the process.”
