[UPDATE — Waverly Excursions announced that their Clyde cruise today (Friday) was cancelled because of “unexpected technical and administration issues”. Saturday’s sailing is expected to go ahead. ]
PADDLE steamer Waverley will start a short season of cruises this week.
The iconic vessel — fresh from her boiler refit — will return to service on Friday (21 August) and operate until Sunday 6 September on the Clyde.
There will be cruises from Greenock to Largs and Brodick, including Holy Isle, on Thursdays 27 August and 3 September.
There will also be a trip starting at Greenock on Saturday 6 September to Rothesay with a cruise around Bute.
Waverley Excursions advise that, because of Covid pandemic restrictions, there will be reduced passenger numbers, fewer calling points and increased time to board and disembark.
All tickets must be booked in advance.
