Inverclyde Now Logo FORMER East End Church Building Can Be Knocked Down

9 September, 2020 | Local

PERMISSION has been given for a distinctive empty church in Greenock to demolished.

The Greenock East United Reformed Church building in Bawhirley Road was vacated by the congregation around three years ago because of its condition.

An application to knock down the structure — which was built in 1968 — has been approved by Inverclyde Council.

No plans have so far been put forward for the site.
