PORT Glasgow Boys’ Club is this month celebrating two decades since it was re-established by John Watson with the help of his brother Tom.
Since January 1998 the club has gone from strength to strength and continues to be successful in giving youngsters in Inverclyde an energetic, enjoyable hobby.
The club is now in the capable hands of Ian Munro and, from that first initial team, there are now 12 teams training and playing regularly from the community hub at Parklea.
There is also a coaching academy for younger children, preparing them to play in teams as they get older.
The club enjoys success on the park and also off — any fund-raiser is well supported by parents and sponsors alike.
