FIVE Cruise Ships In Five Days For Greenock

GREENOCK is due to welcome five cruise ships over five days, including one that is new to the Clyde.

The busy spell starts on Sunday (18 May) when the 69,000-tonne AIDAluna sails up the firth for the first time.

The ship, which can carry around 2,100 passengers, is the latest operated by German cruise line AIDA to come to the port. Her sister ship AIDAbella is at Greenock in August and previously visited Greenock in 2022.

The next day (19 May) regular visitor Mein Schiff 3 (99,500 tonnes) is back at Greenock.

The terminal will host two ships on Wednesday (21 May): French vessel Le Bellot (10,000 tonnes) and 39,000-tonne Amera, which has sailed under a number of names and came to Greenock before as Prinsendam.

The 11,000-tonne French ship Le Boreal, above, (11,000) calls on Thursday (22 May).
