FIFTEEN Years Ago — Greenock Gridlock As Whisky Truck Toppled
FIFTEEN years ago today (15 December) there was rush-hour traffic chaos in Greenock after a whisky truck overturned at the Bullring Roundabout.
It was five hours before the articulated truck was removed — a heavy lifting vehicle sent to the scene got stuck in the miles-long traffic jam caused by the crash.
The driver was treated in hospital but was not seriously injured.
