PLANNERS have agreed that a drink and drugs support service can use an empty Port Glasgow town centre unit.
Moving On Inverclyde has been given permission to operate from former funeral director premises on Church Street.
The charity will provide counselling, group therapy and exercise sessions for individuals and their families affected by addiction.
The base will be staffed by two to three people, working with five to 15 service users.
Planning officials state in their report: “The applicant has a locational need to be close to service users and will benefit from a town centre location using a currently vacant unit.”
