A DROP-in information event about what adoption involves is being held this week.
It has been organised by Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership’s Adoption Service and will run from 5.30pm to 7pm on Thursday 6 November at the James Watt Building on William Street in Greenock, as part of Adoption Week Scotland.
Councillor Francesca Brennan, convener of the Social Work and Social Care Scrutiny Panel said: “Adopting a child is a wonderful choice for people to make and prospective parents will be reassured to know they’ll be supported every step of the way.

“Our social work team works tirelessly to support parents and children through the important adoption journey.”
The Adoption Service will also have information stalls on:
Tuesday 4 November, 11am to 1pm, at Morrisons, Greenock.
Thursday 6 November, 11am to 1pm, at Tesco, Port Glasgow.
Friday 7 November, 11am to 1pm, at Oak Mall, Greenock.
