AN Inverclyde country road — leading to Loch Thom — has been closed for safety reasons.
Dunrod Road is shutting to all traffic between Majeston and Shielhill Farm.
Access to Greenock Cut visitor centre at Cornalees will be via Old Largs Road.
Inverclyde Council said: “This is in the interests of public safety due to concerns about movement of the road surface.
“The section of Dunrod Road has been monitored and in the past couple of weeks there has been an increase in the movement.
“Investigations will continue to determine a suitable way forward to bring the road back into use at the earliest opportunity.”
The road has been shut on previous occasions for emergency carriageway work.
