A MAJOR industrial lease signed by Ferguson Marine, Port Glasgow, and negotiated by Inverclyde firm Bowman Rebecchi has been recognised by prestigious property awards.

The shipyard signed a four-year lease for 77,000 sq ft of industrial space at 2 Cartsdyke Avenue, one of the most significant commercial properties in Greenock, in February 2020.

The deal is among those taking place in the first quarter of the year to be honoured by the CoStar Awards.

Gourock-based Bowman Rebecchi, working as joint agents alongside Colliers International, represented the landlords Dalglen, with Avison Young representing the tenant.

Bowman Rebecchi directors Andrew Bowman and Marco Rebecchi issued a statement commenting: “It is fantastic that CoStar has recognised the hard work that went into securing this letting as one of the top deals in the first quarter of 2020.

“Bowman Rebecchi was delighted to work alongside our peers at Colliers and Avison Young, as well as securing the right deal for both the landlord and tenant.

“To walk away with an award in our first quarter of trading since merging provides the business a further impetus to support the commercial property market across the west coast of Scotland.”

Dalglen Investment directors Sandy and James Easdale said: “This deal was a big boost for the local economy and further repays the faith shown in acquiring the site and the further investment since committed.

“It is good news that the CoStar Awards has recognised this high-quality property and we thank Bowman Rebecchi and Colliers for their support.

“We hope the property helps Ferguson Marine to further grow and develop their operations.”

The premises will be used to consolidate inventory held at several warehouses, become the delivery point for equipment ordered by Ferguson Marine.”
