DRIVERS Warned Of Overnight A8 Closures

THERE will be overnight closures of the westbound A8 in Greenock for two weeks during roadworks.

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is carrying out resurfacing between Glen Roundabout and MacDougall Street, from Thursday 30 May until Thursday 13 June.

The work will take place in two phases.

Phase one will involve overnight closures of the A8 westbound carriageway between Glen Roundabout and Gibshill Road, between 8pm and 6am each night from Thursday 30 May until Thursday 6 June.

There will also be a lane closure on the A8 eastbound carriageway during the overnight works. Traffic management will be removed by 6am on Friday 7 June.

For phase two there will be overnight closures of the A8 westbound carriageway between Gibshill Road and Ratho Street, between 8pm and 6am each night between Friday 7 June and Wednesday 12 June.

There will also be a lane closure on the A8 eastbound carriageway during the overnight works.

Traffic management will be removed by 6am on Thursday 13 June.

Diversions will be in place.
