DRIVER Was Allegedly Under Influence Of Cocaine

A MOTORIST allegedly failed a roadside drug test after driving off a road in Greenock.

Police responded to the incident on Holefarm Road at 10am yesterday (Thursday).

Officers traced the driver who allegedly failed the roadside drug screening for cocaine.

Sergeant Jason Logsdon said: “On being arrested, the male allegedly made off from officers however was apprehended a short distance away whereby he was found in possession of white powder believed to be cocaine.”

The 28-year-old was arrested for various offences and is scheduled to appear at court on a later date.
