“DOZENS Show Interest” In Morton Manager Vacancy

2 December, 2025 | Local

MORTON say they have received interest from dozens of candidates for their managerial vacancy.

The club issued an update saying the current interim coaching structure will be in place until at least the game against Airdrieonians on 13 December.

Technical head coach Billy Davies is overseeing first-team operations following Dougie Imrie’s departure to Raith Rovers.

Davies is being supported by head of youth and emerging talent Gary Miller, goalkeeping coach Jon Connolly, and academy coach Joe McKee.

The club stated: “The club has received dozens of notes of interest in the managerial position. While we appreciate the strong level of interest, we remain committed to taking the appropriate time with this process, particularly given the quality of staff already in place.

“Billy will continue to oversee from the stands on match day but will be in the technical area for Friday’s game with Queen’s Park, due to Gary Miller being unavailable after his weekend red card.”
