FOR the fourth Saturday running, wet weather disrupted the Western District Cricket Union (WDCU) programme.
Both the Greenock 1st XI, against Renfrew, and Glenpark XI games were called off without a ball being bowled.
And across the west of Scotland only two matches beat the weather. These were games in the Western Championship Division Four and both were played in the north of Glasgow.
Sunday’s Cricket Scotland Challenge Cup first round tie with Dundee HSFP was also cancelled, for a second week, because of ground conditions.
Another attempt will be made next Sunday to play the game and this time there has to be some form of conclusion, even if it is a coin toss, as the ties in Round 2 are scheduled to be played on Sunday 29 June.

However Greenock’s Hillend XI did manage to play their Sunday League Division 2 fixture away to Uddingston Development XI and maintained their winning form, securing a 25-run victory in the reduced, 30-overs-per-side encounter.
Batting first, the Hillend XI scored 155 all out with Usman Mansoor (top-scoring) 26, Mahmood Ahmadzai 20 and Nikhil Kadyan 17.
In reply, Uddingston were bowled out for 130. Arun and Mu Ahmadzai each took three wickets, while Nikhil Kadyan and Ma Ahmadzai picked up two wickets apiece.
