FREE swimming for under-16s in Inverclyde will be available for at least another year.
Councillors on Inverclyde’s education and communities committee decided to continue the scheme through until the end of March 2023.
The estimated cost for the year is £120,000. A funding gap of £40,000 will be plugged by taking money from the council’s community grants fund.
Children and young people can register, without charge, for an under-16s swim card from Inverclyde Leisure (IL), which operates local pools.
