THE A78 will be closed in both directions at Wemyss Bay for a weekend later this month.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential carriageway maintenance on the coastal route at Wemyss Bay and north of Largs from Friday 24 November until Wednesday 29 November.
A full weekend closure will be in effect from 8pm on Friday 24 November until 6am on Monday 27 November with works taking place at the Ardgowan Road junction in Wemyss Bay. There will be local access only to and from Ardgowan Road.
Two overnight closures will be in place further south — at Knock Castle between Largs and Skelmorlie — from 8pm on Monday 27 November until 6am on Tuesday 28 November, and from 8pm on Tuesday 28 November until 6am on Wednesday 29 November.
