The show — part of a Scottish tour — will include a mixture of sketches, monologues, poems and songs and takes place at Westburn Parish Church, Nelson Street, Greenock on Wednesday 15 February at 7.30.

It is being sponsored by Westburn Parish Church, Lyle Kirk and Old Gourock and Ashton Parish Church. Tickets, priced £8, are available from the churches or by phoning 01475 721048.

After refreshments during the interval, some local unsung heroes from the community will be honoured as Ardgowan Hospice Singers share some songs.

He writes mainly Christian humour, but also short stories, Bible commentaries and novels with a more serious tone. His most popular books are a series concerning The Sacred Diary of Adrian Plass, a humorous, fictional satire of Christian life which has sold more than a million copies worldwide.

Actor David Robinson joined the Saltmine Theatre Company in 1989 and went on to perform in all their major productions, becoming leader of the company in 1991 and subsequently Creative Arts Director in 1998.

Rob Halligan, pictured right, is a singer/ songwriter once described by the BBC as “Bruce Springsteen having English tea with Billy Bragg”, although he has also been compared to Neil Diamond, Martyn Joseph and John Mayer.

Rob also tours extensively and has played across the UK as well as shows in the USA, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong and Switzerland.
