2nd Gourock Scottish Five-A-Side Victory

The 2nd Gourock Company’s senior five-a-side football squad successfully defended their Scottish title in Grangemouth. This is the sixth Scottish title in nine years for the Gourock boys who now go on to defend their UK title in Glasgow in April. The squad of Ross Kane, Calum Taggart, Matthew Barrs, Andrew Monk, Matthew MacKinnon, Innes Lowrie and Captain Andrew Ellis managed to overcome stiff opposition from 8th Stirling, 1st Buckie, 1st Cambusnethan and 42nd Dundee

Battalion Bible Challenge

The Junior sections across the battalion competed in the Bible challenge. The theme of this year’s challenge was Jesus’s 12 deciples. The battalion thank Gillian and Charlene for coming up with some excellent tasks for the boys, including a spot of fishing. It was really clear that they all had a brilliant time. After a closely-contested day, it all came down to one point to seal the victory for the 4th Port Glasgow — congratulations to Luke Wines, Louis Williamson, Callum McLean and Adam Watt.

2nd Gourock Masterteam.

The boys of 2nd Gourock’s Masterteam Quiz squad head to Falkirk on Saturday evening to take part in the Scottish Finals for the first time in more than 15 years.

3rd Gourock Hockey Trip

The Juniors of the 3rd Gourock Company Section enjoyed an excellent trip to see ice hockey. Some of the boys were able to experience their first taste of the sport in a great atmosphere at the Braehead Arena. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening as Braehead Clan came out on top against Fife Flyers.
