70th Beavers Get Crafty

The 70th Beavers had great fun making Mother’s Day gifts.

They made candle holders, flower pots, bookmarks and crafts using ice lolly sticks.

Big Welcome To 70th Scouts

Over the last few weeks, four Scouts have been invested into the 70th Scout Troop.

Congratulations To Melissa And Nicola.

Melissa Munro and Nicola Hodge, leaders of the 73rd Cubs and Beavers, were awarded their Wood Beads by District Commissioner Peter Bennett.

Community Focus For 80th Cubs

Cub Scouts at the 80th have been working hard towards their community impact activity badge.

They have discussed bullying, social issues and anti-social behaviour.

Cubs have completed a variety of activities including Chinese whispers and learning about how stories are spread easily, thinking about the words they use towards others and people’s feelings by making compliment pockets whereby each Cub wrote a kind message or kind words about every one of their friends in their pack and anonymously put it into the pocket they made.

This was linked into several games which all Cubs participated in which provided some great experiences. The badge work concluded with by making stress balls from flour and balloons

Camping Practice For 33rd Beavers

The 33rd Beavers had a great night starting work on their camp craft badge.

They learned how to put the tents up, the different parts of the tent and why it’s important to look after the tents. The boys and girls managed to get the tents up and tidied away.
