85th Scouts Enjoy Snowy Climbs

Scouts from the 85th went winter hill-walking, climbing The Cobbler on Saturday and Beinn Dorain on Sunday. The groups didn’t see much sunshine during the walks, but they found plenty of snow to enjoy and got to experience some of Scotland’s famous mountain weather.

They managed to earn credit towards their Hikes Away badge as well as their Adventure Challenge and Personal Challenge badges

Angus’s Silver Award 

Angus Brown left Cubs having first been presented his Chief Scout’s Silver Award before being welcomed into the 70th Scouts by David Love. It was also the last night of Cubs for Beth and Ruby who will complete their Silver Awards soon.

New Faces at 59th

The 59th welcomed seven new Scouts who have all moved up from Cubs over the last few weeks. They have been working hard on learning the Scout laws and motto and are ready for a new adventure

Scout Football Competition — The annual Scout football competition will take place on Sunday 26 February at All Saints’ Primary. The cost of entry is £15 per team of seven and each troop can enter as many teams as they’d like. The deadline for entry is Thursday the 23 February.
