ROADWORKS To Affect Busy Greenock Road For 11 Days

MOTORISTS face disruption on one of Greenock’s busiest routes for 11 days.

Inverclyde Council are resurfacing the westbound lane of Eldon Street, Greenock, between Lyle Road and The Esplanade

The work is due to take place from Monday 20 March to Friday 31 March.

Traffic heading to Gourock will be diverted via Wood Street and Newark Street to Eldon Street. Eastbound traffic will not be diverted.

Westbound traffic wanting to access Battery Park, Fort Matilda Industrial Estate or Battery Park Avenue will have to use the Wood Street/Newark Street diversion and then double back along the eastbound side of Eldon Street.

There will be no access on to Eldon Street from Octavia Terrace. There will be no right turn on to Eldon Street from The Esplanade and North Street.  

There will also be various parking restrictions.
