ROADWORKS To Affect Access To Tesco, Greenock In Evenings And Overnight

MOTORISTS are being warned to expect delays as a week of overnight closures for roadworks starts in central Greenock this weekend.

Container Way will be shut between the Bullring Roundabout and Laird Street.

Customhouse Way, will be shut from its junction with Container Way to the Waterfront car park entrance.

The closures are scheduled to run from 7pm to 6.30am each night from Saturday (16 September) to Friday (22 September) while resurfacing takes place.

Access to and from Tesco and Mecca Bingo will be via Laird Street only. 

Access to and from Tesco will  only be via Laird Street — normally only an exit route from the store — during evening and night-time roadworks from Saturday for five days
