Inverclyde Now Logo RAIL Disruption After Lorry Hits Bridge In Greenock

TRAIN services between Glasgow and Gourock were disrupted for hours on Monday after a lorry struck a bridge in Greenock. 

The roof of the lorry was ripped off in the incident around 10am at Sinclair Street.

The bridge was inspected by rail staff and trained started running again just after 2pm.

Trains operated between Port Glasgow and Glasgow on a half-hourly basis during the incident.
