PORT Tesco Donate To Old Men’s Club

THE Old Men’s Club in Port Glasgow are celebrating a £1,000 donation from the town’s Tesco Extra.

Staff from the store went along to meet the club members and present them with the cheque. 

Store manager Russell Houston said: “Whilst we are dedicated and focused on serving our customers and enhancing their shopping experience, we are also committed to supporting the local community where we can. 

“The Old Men’s Club is a great social club for pensioners in the area and we are delighted to be able to support them with a donation so they can continue providing their fantastic services to the members.”

Old Men’s Club president Eddie Gilmartin said: “We are all over the moon at the donation from Tesco. We like to try different things at the club to keep members interested, for example we have we have run painting classes in the past.

“We also enjoy planning days out and feel inspired to keep trying new things. The money from Tesco will ensure we can continue to organise fun things for our members to do.”
