OVERNIGHT Closures Of A8 In Port Glasgow For Roadworks

A SECTION of the A8 through Port Glasgow is to be completely closed for three nights next week.

The road will be shut in both directions between the roundabout at Tesco and Bogston from 8pm to 6am on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (3 to 5 April)

Carriageway resurfacing and marking work is being done.

Traffic heading to Greenock will be diverted off the A8 at the Fore Street traffic lights and then head via Scarlow Street, Shore Street, Balfour Street, Glen Avenue, Lilybank Road, Shankland Road, Irwin Street and Gibshill Road.

Vehicles heading to Port Glasgow will turn off at Scott Way and then travel through Kingston Industrial Estate to Belhaven Street, Brown Street, Shore Street and Fore Street.
