INVERCLYDE residents are being given another chance to have their say on plans to transform a busy Greenock town centre street.

Public consultation over the ambitious scheme to revitalise West Blackhall Street will take place in Café Balfe from 4 till 7.30pm on Thursday 16 May.

A spokesman for Inverclyde Council, said: “The vision aims to transform West Blackhall Street into a vibrant area, which supports local shops, bars and restaurants, and is an appealing place to spend time. We also want to make it a safe and attractive route for cyclists and pedestrians to encourage more people to go there.

“We’re very keen for residents of Inverclyde and users of the town centre to help shape proposals and to hear their views. We previously held a consultation event during the day. This event is during the afternoon and evening to allow people who couldn’t make it to the first event to have their say.”

Councillors will have to choose between two designs for West Blackhall Street
