THE A8 at Greenock has fully re-opened after the scene of a building fire was made safe.
The road was closed completely for 24 hours and then a contraflow was put in place following the blaze at the McKechnie Jess factory on Wednesday.
Road staff confirmed on Saturday evening that both sides of the dual carriageway were now open again following demolition work.
