MOTORISTS are being urged to take extra care at a Greenock junction where priorities have changed.

Inverclyde Council confirmed that the work at the junction of Ratho Street, Belville Street, Carwood Street and East Crawford Street finished today ahead of schedule.

The council stated: “The roads will reopen under a new priority system. Motorists should take extra care when using this junction for the first time and adhere to the new road markings and Give Way traffic signage.”

The works has been carried out to help prepare the road network for the upcoming Central Greenock project which involves removing the Bullring Roundabout.

Mini-roundabouts are being installed west of the Bullring Roundabout, also as part preparation for work starting.
