BUSINESSES Strengthen Local Commitment With Gourock Office Acquisition

TWO of Inverclyde’s leading professional service firms have underlined their long-term commitment to the region with the joint purchase of offices in Gourock.

Fast-growing property and asset management company Bowman Rebecchi has acquired the first-floor offices at 32–36 Kempock Street, while accountancy firm Murray & Henderson Chartered Accountants has purchased the second floor of the prominent town centre building.

Bowman Rebecchi first took occupancy at the building in 2021, leasing the first-floor offices as part of its expansion in Inverclyde, while Murray & Henderson Chartered Accountants began leasing the second floor in 2023.

Their decision to purchase their respective premises provides long-term security, stability, and the freedom to invest further in their premises and teams.

Bowman Rebecchi plans to invest further in the refurbishment and modernisation of its office space, creating an enhanced working environment for staff and clients, as it continues to grow its property management and agency operations across the west of Scotland.

Andrew Bowman, director of Bowman Rebecchi, said: “This acquisition reflects our confidence in Gourock and Inverclyde as fantastic place to live, work, and do business. We’re proud to secure a long-term base in the town where our business began and to invest further in the local economy and our people.”

Marco Rebecchi, director of Bowman Rebecchi, added: “We’d like to express our sincere thanks to the previous landlord for their support over the years. It’s a proud moment for two Gourock natives to be able to invest in the town’s future, strengthening our roots and showing belief in the potential of the local area.

“Gourock has a fantastic business community, and we’re delighted to continue playing our part in its growth.”

Murray & Henderson Chartered Accountants have operated for more than 40 years. The purchase provides the firm with the security to continue its legacy of providing professional accounting and business advisory services from the heart of the community.

Michael Harkins, owner of Murray & Henderson, said: “We are very pleased to make this acquisition as we have been experiencing strong demand for our services and will shortly be recruiting for new positions. This provides us with a long-term base from which we can continue to grow.”
