BOY Stabbed During Large-Scale Greenock Disturbance

POLICE found a 15-year-old boy with a stab wound at a disturbance involving more than 50 youths in Greenock.

Officers were called to land at Earnhill Road around 8pm yesterday (Saturday).

Detective Sergeant Stuart Young said: “Police came across a boy who had been subject to an assault, with a stab wound to his lower back, among other injuries.

“We are keen to trace everyone who was there at the time.”

The boy is being treated at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow because of his age. It’s expected he will be allowed home today.

Witnesses are asked to call police on 101.
