17 April, 2024 | Local, Noticeboard

CYCLING hero Sir Bradley Wiggins is set to lift the lid on his sporting career at Beacon Arts Centre this week.

The Tour de France winner, who is the only rider to have won both World and Olympic Championships on road and track, is coming to the Greenock venue on Friday (19 April) at 8pm.

The event will see the four-time Olympic gold winner talk about his life and career in one of only two appearances in Scotland.

Lesley Davidson, acting joint director of Beacon Arts Centre, said: “It has been 20 years since Sir Bradley Wiggins amazed the country and made Olympic history by winning three medals in Athens in 2004.

“Everyone at the Beacon is delighted that this icon of sport is coming to Inverclyde to share his amazing career with our audiences.

“With only two appearances in Scotland this year, this is a not-to-be-missed night for sports fans throughout the central belt and beyond.”

Tickets are available online.
